The Mercedes-AMG GT S is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle, delivering power to the rear wheels through an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.

Built on a dedicated AMG rear-wheel-drive platform, the GT S features a front-mid-engine layout with a transaxle configuration for optimized weight distribution. The exterior design emphasizes wide proportions and functional aerodynamics, incorporating LED headlights and taillights, front fender vents, parking assistance sensors, and dual exhaust outlets.
