The Mercedes-Benz G550 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, delivering power to all four wheels through a dual-range transfer case and front, center, and rear locking differentials.

Built on a body-on-frame chassis, the G550 combines a traditional off-road architecture with modern luxury and performance engineering. The exterior features a squared profile with bi-xenon headlights, a sunroof, parking assistance sensors, running boards, side-exit exhaust outlets, and a rear-mounted spare tire carrier.

The suspension and drivetrain are configured for both on-road comfort and off-road capability, with selectable locking differentials and a low-range transfer case. Braking is handled by high-capacity disc brakes at all four corners.
